Main Goals
The Wikimedia Turkic Languages User Group is committed to the following main goals under the Wikimedia Movement Strategy 2030:
Promoting Diversity: The group is dedicated to promoting diversity within the Wikimedia movement. This includes overcoming capacity challenges such as technical, administrative, linguistic, and financial issues. The group also aims to prevent the concentration of power and to better represent the diversity of the Wikimedia community.
Facilitating Collaboration: The group is focused on facilitating collaboration within the Turkic speaking community. This includes developing a systematic approach to improve the satisfaction and productivity of people engaged in the movement, assessing the needs of groups and volunteers, and continuously engaging and supporting diverse types of online and offline contributors.
Managing Internal Knowledge: The group recognizes the importance of managing and documenting knowledge within the movement. This is essential for onboarding new contributors, helping them develop skills, allowing new leaders to emerge, and for growing small communities and making large ones more resilient and flexible.
These goals are designed to ensure that the Wikimedia Turkic Languages User Group can effectively contribute to the Wikimedia Movement Strategy 2030 and help the Turkic speaking community to thrive within the Wikimedia movement.
